Hello. I’m Gustau Perez. I’m a computer engineer settled in Calella, near Barcelona, who has passion for technology. I currently work as a Site Reliability Engineer at Adevinta. I also work part time as SRE and backend developer at GuestMate-App.
Finally, I work as course instructor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) teaching Linux kernel internals.
I previously worked as SRE at Softonic, CDmon S.L and Marfeel S.L. Also, before that, I worked at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) as a SysOps engineer.

- System programming (Bash scripting, Perl, Python, Golang, Sed, Awk,…)
- Backend languages. Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Maven and Vaadin
- Development skills, unit and services/integration testing. smoke testing with cypress, code analysis and coverage
- Good knowledge of continuous integration and delivery (Jenkins, pipelines, git workflows)
- Cloud technologies: Amazon AWS, Docker, GCP, OpenStack, Xen, Jails, UML.
- Orchestration technologies. K8S, helm
- Infrastructure management. Terraform, Cloudformation and Troposphere
- TCP/UDP/IPv4/IPv6 Networking knowledge. Other protocols and technologies like DNS, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, IPSec, VPNs…
- System configuration management. Ansible, SaltStack
- Frontend experience: Sencha Framework, TypeScript, Sass, Scss, CSS, HTML5.
- Deep knowledge of Unix (FreeBSD and Linux). Experienced with IBM AIX, SunOS/Solaris
- Experience with agile methodologies, specially SCRUM and KANBAN
- Great communication skills, eager to learn and easy to work with
